About This Coffee

All the coffees we roast are sourced ethically and as transparently as possible to ensure that the farmers are receiving a premium price for their hard work.

The Caldas Royale regional profile was developed at the 3Brothers Coffee Quality Lab and consists of various natural processed varietals, which make up a classic flavour profile, well suited to espresso.

This coffee comes to us from the micro region of Pocos de Caldas in Minas Gerais, Brasil. Where coffee farms are scattered along the slopes of one of the most geologically rich volcanic calderas in the world. With average elevations from 1000 - 1350 masl, a rich combination of volcanic minerals and rainforest soil and rare climate conditions, this unique spot has ideal conditions for growing excellent specialty coffee.

Roaster Notes

Typically we roast all our single origin and microlot coffees lightly, to preserve the subtlties and nuances, created through careful growing, harvessting and processing.
For this coffee, we have developed the coffee differently in the roaster, with the goal of lowering the acidity and incresing the body of the coffee, to make a coffee more suited for espresso and for those who like a more traditional cup.
